Consultation
On your first visit you will receive a warm welcome to the office and the world of chiropractic. The consultation will gather information about yourself and your current state of health and how your lifestyle may be affecting it.
This enables me to determine an overall picture of your health and discuss with you if and how chiropractic care can help you improve it. It also gives you time to ask any questions.
Examination
After the consultation you will have a chiropractic examination including orthopaedic and neurological tests to gain information about the health of your spine and its effects on your nervous system. This examination will indicate issues that could be the cause of your condition giving me a better understanding of how chiropractic care can help you.
Report of Findings
I will explain the findings of the examination with you and discuss how chiropractic care can help you and give my recommendations for a treatment program. I will inform you of the frequency of visits and a likely time frame required to achieve the desired results. Nothing will be done in the office without your consent.
You will receive advice on how to make the most of each visit including exercises to do at home or changes to work positions. This advice will be ongoing throughout your care and is an important part of what I see as a partnership in improving your health.
Treatment
Most of my patients start to see results from their first adjustment. The gentle and effective nature of the McTimoney technique is pleasant to receive, gentle enough for children and the elderly but just as effective for the athlete, my adjustments restore function and movement. My patients enjoy their adjustments and look forward to their visits to the clinic.
